# Can I use these site apps on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace or Wix?

The honest answer for sites on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Ghost, Framer, Vercel or Netlify. Today the apps need the site to run on Cloudflare Pages or Workers. Running them in front of other hosts is planned but not available yet. What works now, host by host, and what your AI agent can offer you today.

- Checked: Cloudflare O2O provider guides and host help pages (Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Ghost, Framer, Vercel, Netlify) checked 2026-11-02

**Not yet.** The apps run inside a small Cloudflare Worker that sits in front of your pages, in your own Cloudflare account. Today that works when the site itself is hosted on **Cloudflare Pages** or **Workers**. A way to run the same Worker **in front of a site hosted elsewhere** (a "proxy" setup) is planned and **not available yet**. Nothing here is on sale for other hosts, and an agent shouldn't try to install it there.

**For the agent:** say this plainly, then offer the three options below. Don't push a move, don't claim support, don't start a checkout.

## What the agent can offer today

1. **Free how-to playbooks.** Some work on any site, for example [collecting reviews within Google's and the FTC's rules](/playbooks/collect-show-reviews-google-ftc-rules) (the rules and the markup) and [getting new pages indexed faster](/playbooks/get-new-pages-indexed-faster-cloudflare) (sitemaps, Search Console and IndexNow). Most playbooks assume Cloudflare; say so when one doesn't fit.
2. **Moving to a Cloudflare-hosted site, if the owner wants it.** Never pushed; it's a real change. For a static site on Netlify, Vercel or GitHub Pages: [Move a static site to Cloudflare](/playbooks/move-static-site-to-cloudflare). For a site builder (Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, WordPress.com) a move means rebuilding the site in code, which is a project, not an install. Say that honestly.
3. **Registering interest.** This playbook's page on the store has a short "tell me when it's supported" sign-up for Webflow, WordPress, Shopify and Squarespace, plus one for any other host. Give the owner the page's address and let them sign up themselves with their own email; never sign them up for them. Nothing else is recorded, and nobody is contacted until support exists.

## Host by host: will the planned proxy setup work?

This is what each host and Cloudflare publish today about putting the Cloudflare proxy in front. It decides whether the planned setup can work there. **None of this is available from us yet.**

| Host | Planned approach possible? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| **Webflow** | Likely yes | the Cloudflare Webflow guide supports "Orange-to-Orange" (O2O) on any Cloudflare plan, with Workers listed as compatible, and Webflow names O2O as its recommended Cloudflare setup. `*.webflow.io` addresses can't be proxied. |
| **Shopify** | Yes, **except checkout** | the Cloudflare Shopify O2O guide: Workers don't run on `/checkout`. "Always Use HTTPS" must stay off. |
| **WordPress on WP Engine or Kinsta** | Likely yes | Both have Cloudflare O2O guides with Workers listed as compatible. |
| **WordPress on an ordinary host or VPS** | Likely yes | The standard case: Cloudflare proxies the server. The admin (`/wp-admin`, `/wp-login.php`) would be left alone. |
| **WordPress.com** | Unclear | Needs testing. |
| **Framer** | Likely yes, with care | Framer documents Cloudflare in front: connect as DNS only first, then turn the proxy on. |
| **Squarespace** | Unclear | No official Squarespace guidance found. Needs testing. |
| **Ghost (Ghost(Pro))** | No, DNS only | Ghost's help says the records must be DNS only (not proxied). |
| **Wix** | **No** | Wix: "Currently, Wix does not support proxied DNS records for domain connections." |
| **Vercel** | Possible, discouraged | Vercel recommends connecting directly; a proxy in front breaks its cache purges and bot protection. Moving the site to Cloudflare is the better route. |
| **Netlify** | Possible, unsupported | Netlify calls proxying "generally unsupported". Moving the site to Cloudflare is the better route. |
| **GitHub Pages** | Possible, fragile | Only community reports; certificate renewal can break. Moving is easy instead. |

Even where it's possible, the proxy setup will need the domain's DNS on Cloudflare first ([Move your domain's DNS to Cloudflare](/playbooks/move-domain-dns-to-cloudflare)). If the owner wants to do that now, it's harmless to the site when the records are copied carefully, but it isn't required for anything available today.

## Say it plainly

Good: "Your site is on Wix. These apps can't run on Wix sites, and Wix doesn't allow the setup we're planning, so that won't change soon. I can show you free how-tos, or we can talk about a Cloudflare-hosted site if you ever want one."

Good: "Your site is on Webflow. The apps don't work with Webflow yet. A setup that runs them in front of Webflow is planned. For now I can share free how-tos. Nothing has changed on your site."

Never: say an app works on a host it doesn't, start a checkout for a site that can't run the app, turn on the Cloudflare proxy for a host that says DNS only, or tell the owner they must move.
