License
License for paid apps
Version commercial-license-v4-2026-11-04. It also ships in every download as site-apps/LICENSE.md.
Subscriptions are not offered yet: every license sold today is paid once and never renews. The license's Subscriptions section applies only if we start offering them.
Version 4, 2026-11-04. Applies to paid apps. The shared site layer ("core") that comes with them is covered by the Free License.
Licenses
- Site license. Use on one website: its primary domain, the
wwwand bare versions of that domain, and other domains that only redirect to it. - All-sites license. Use on any number of websites you own or operate yourself (your own projects and businesses), while you hold the license. It does not cover websites you build, manage or host for clients or other third parties: each client website needs its own site license (bought by you or the client), or a reseller license when we offer one.
- Test and staging copies are free.
localhost, Cloudflare preview and test addresses (*.pages.dev,*.workers.dev), branch previews, and a non-public staging copy of a licensed website on a subdomain of its domain (likestaging.example.com) don't count as separate websites. - Moving a site. A site license can be moved to another domain from your account (for example after a rebrand), up to 3 times in any 12 months. If you need more, write to us and we may move it by hand.
What you get
- Perpetual use. The version you download keeps working for as long as you like, even after updates end.
- Updates for 12 months from purchase, renewable. After that you keep what you have and can renew to get newer versions.
- Subscriptions. Some licenses are paid monthly or yearly instead of once. While the subscription is active you can download the software and its updates. If a payment fails, updates continue for 14 days while the payment is retried. If you cancel, or the subscription ends for any other reason, your websites keep running the versions they have and you can still download the versions released before it ended, but not newer ones. Refunds and chargebacks on subscription payments follow section 13.
- Change it. You may modify the software for licensed websites. Changes are yours to maintain: updates replace the
site-apps/folder, so make changes through the documented settings, events and your own files where you can. We support the unmodified software.
Limits
- Don't redistribute. You may not sell, share, publish or sublicense the software or modified versions of it, except as part of a website you deliver to a client that has its own license, where it stays in that website's code.
- Client websites. A client website runs under its own site license, whoever bought it. If you bought it and hand the website over, you can move that license to the client's account, or the client keeps the version installed at handover and buys their own license for newer versions.
- Each download is marked with your account so that leaked copies can be traced. The software checks its license file locally and may show a notice on unlicensed domains. It never contacts us while your website runs and never sends us your website's data.
Payment, refunds, ending
- Purchases are sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service (Stripe Managed Payments), which acts as merchant of record for the payment and handles tax. Refunds follow our refund policy on the store, which is also shown at checkout.
- Refunds and chargebacks end the license for what was refunded: you may no longer use it, and downloads and updates stop. A partial refund (for example a goodwill amount) keeps the license as it is. A refund of a renewal only takes back the months of updates that renewal added; the license stays, with the update date it had before. For a subscription, a refund of the first payment, or a chargeback on any payment, ends the license and the subscription. A refund of a later payment ends the subscription; you keep the versions covered by the periods you paid for before it. If a chargeback is decided in your favour, the license comes back (a subscription it ended stays ended).
- No warranty. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the total liability of SocialKreature LLC dba Sundogs for all claims relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for licenses in the 12 months before the claim arose, and SocialKreature LLC dba Sundogs is not liable for indirect damages, including Cloudflare charges.
- This license ends if you break it. Sections 13, 14 and this one survive.
