Countdown Timers Beta
Countdown timers that match your site: a sale that ends on a date, a personal offer window per visitor (for example 24 hours from their first visit) for offers that really end, or a daily cutoff. Add them anywhere on a page, or inside popups and bars, and choose what happens when time is up.
Countdown Timers is in beta: it works, but things may still break. Tell us if something does: open an issue. Every paid order has a 7-day refund.

Instant download after payment: the app's code and a license file for your site; your AI agent installs it. Includes 12 months of updates.
You'll log in first (new here? that creates your account), then pick the site and review the order before paying.
Ask your AI agent to install this
Paste this into your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another), opened in your site's project. It tells you what the app needs and costs before it changes anything.
Install the Countdown Timers app (id: countdown) from the Sundogs site apps store on this site. First read https://sundo.gs/apps/countdown.md and tell me what it needs and what it costs. If I don't own it yet, start a checkout with create_checkout and give me the link; I'll tick the license and pay myself. Then download it with get_download for this site's domain. Follow the install guide (site-apps/INSTALL.md in the download, also at https://sundo.gs/install-guide.md). Check it with the install guide's step 6 (the public status, then the self-test once you can sign in to the admin) and tell me what's next. (Not connected to the store yet? See https://sundo.gs/agents.)
What it needs
- Cloudflare plan
- Cloudflare free plan
- Works on
- Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Pages
- Version
- 0.6.2 (site layer 0.21.0 or later)
- Price
- $7 USD per site · $21 USD for all your sites
All the details
- Runs on the Cloudflare free plan, in the same D1 database as your other site apps. No third-party script and no extra requests: the right time is written into the page as it's served, and a tiny script (about 2 KB) keeps it ticking.
- Timers are stored in the site's shared tables, so Popups (and later funnels) can show them with nothing to set up. Install order doesn't matter, and removing Countdown Timers leaves timers already used in popups working.
- Evergreen timers set one small first-party cookie (_sc) to remember when each visitor first saw the timer. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Timers are inserted into pages as they're served, so page views run through the site apps (as with link tagging and forms).
- Cost per visit: no extra requests and no writes; the right time is drawn into the page as it is served. Past the Cloudflare free Worker request limit pages are served without timers until it resets at midnight UTC (or you upgrade). Visit sources are counted by core: page views are added up in memory and saved in a few small writes about every 20 seconds, within the daily write budget; at the Cloudflare free limits counting pauses and the site is unaffected.

What's new
Countdown Timers 0.6.2 · Nov 6, 2026
- Marked as beta: it works, but things may still break. The admin shows where to report a problem.
Show full history
Countdown Timers 0.6.1 · Nov 5, 2026
- Small wording updates in the admin and in the instructions for your AI agent. Nothing else changes.
Countdown Timers 0.6.0 · Nov 4, 2026
- An unknown template name now lists the ones that exist, so your AI agent can retry straight away.
Countdown Timers 0.5.3
- Clearer store description: a per-visitor timer is described as a personal offer window (for example 24 hours from a visitor's first visit), for offers that really end.
Countdown Timers 0.5.2
- Place a timer next to an element: {path, after:"#offer"}, {path, before:".pricing"} or {path, afterHeading:"Sale"} in placements.
Countdown Timers 0.5.1 · Nov 2, 2026
- The skill and the "Ends tonight" and evergreen template descriptions say plainly that an evergreen timer restarts for each visitor, so use it only when the offer really ends for that visitor.
- The Overview now starts with one tile per app (its top number); the other tiles are still there under Customize. The Overview tile now links to a template when you have no timers.
Countdown Timers 0.5.0 · Nov 1, 2026
- AI agents: countdown_create_from_template now creates a draft (nothing is shown until it is set live); countdown_toggle takes on:true or on:false; countdown_save's dry run returns the complete timer and the same warnings.
- The Overview has a new "Live timers" number.
Countdown Timers 0.4.1 · Nov 1, 2026
- countdown_toggle and countdown_delete accept a timer's name as well as its id, like countdown_get. countdown_save takes dry_run, which runs the same checks as a real save.
Countdown Timers 0.4.0 · Nov 1, 2026
- Reports to analytics: timers shown on pages are counted per day and source.
Countdown Timers 0.3.3 · Oct 31, 2026
- Phone admin: timers are compact list rows with a status dot after the title and a "⋯" sheet for Pause and Turn on.
Countdown Timers 0.3.2 · Oct 31, 2026
- Admin pages work like a phone app: a menu drawer instead of a tab strip, 44px tap targets, fields that bring up the right keyboard, save buttons that stay in reach on long forms, and no sideways scrolling at any phone or tablet width.
Countdown Timers 0.3.1 · Oct 31, 2026
- Agents: countdown_templates says what each template requires and leaves blank; self-test fixes name the tool to use.
Countdown Timers 0.3.0 · Oct 30, 2026
- Your AI agent can manage this app through the admin's MCP connection (Settings, Connect an agent), signed in with Cloudflare Access like you. Deletes ask for a second confirmation; personal data is left out unless asked for.
Countdown Timers 0.2.2 · Oct 30, 2026
- States its cost per visit (requests and database writes) before you install, and can be turned off in an emergency from Settings, Apps.
Countdown Timers 0.2.1 · Oct 30, 2026
- Evergreen timers keep their clock for the visit when "preferences" aren't allowed, instead of restarting on each page.
Countdown Timers 0.2.0 · Oct 30, 2026
- Cookie consent: evergreen timers remember a visitor's start in a cookie only if they allow preferences (when the site asks for consent); otherwise the clock runs for that page view. Without Cookie Consent installed nothing changes.
Countdown Timers 0.1.1 · Oct 30, 2026
- Inline timers read "3 days 18:17:10" (a space after days); the timers list reads well on phones.
Countdown Timers 0.1.0 · Oct 30, 2026
- First release: fixed-deadline, evergreen ("24 hours from your first visit") and daily-cutoff timers with the right digits already in the page, one tiny script, and a choice to hide, show a message or redirect when they end.
- Put a timer anywhere with <div data-site-countdown="name"></div>, at the usual placement spots (after the title, end of the article…), or inside a Popups popup or top bar.
Questions
Do I need to write code?
No. Your AI coding agent installs it into your site's project and deploys it with your own Cloudflare account. You approve the changes.
Does it send my site's data anywhere?
No. It runs in your own Cloudflare account. The store never sees your visitors, your form entries or your settings.
What happens after 12 months?
The version you have keeps working. Renew for about half the price if you want 12 more months of updates.
Can I use it on client sites?
Yes, with a site license per client site. The all-sites license covers the sites you own or run yourself.
What does it need from Cloudflare?
Cloudflare free plan, on Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Pages.
