Waitlist Beta
A waitlist that spreads by itself: people join with your form, see their place in line, and get a personal link that moves them up for every friend who joins. Invite people in order when you're ready.
Waitlist is in beta: it works, but things may still break. Tell us if something does: open an issue. Every paid order has a 7-day refund.
Buy Waitlist
$7 USD per site · $21 USD for all your sitesA site license covers one website (plus its www, staging and test addresses). Using it on other sites isn't allowed. Get the all-sites license from $21 instead.
Every license includes 12 months of updates; the version you download keeps working after that, and you can renew updates for about half the price.
7-day refund, no questions asked · Refund policy
Instant download after payment: the app's code and a license file for your site; your AI agent installs it. Includes 12 months of updates.
You'll log in first (new here? that creates your account), then pick the site and review the order before paying.
Ask your AI agent to install this
Paste this into your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another), opened in your site's project. It tells you what the app needs and costs before it changes anything.
Install the Waitlist app (id: waitlist) from the Sundogs site apps store on this site. First read https://sundo.gs/apps/waitlist.md and tell me what it needs and what it costs. If I don't own it yet, start a checkout with create_checkout and give me the link; I'll tick the license and pay myself. Then download it with get_download for this site's domain. Follow the install guide (site-apps/INSTALL.md in the download, also at https://sundo.gs/install-guide.md). Check it with the install guide's step 6 (the public status, then the self-test once you can sign in to the admin) and tell me what's next. (Not connected to the store yet? See https://sundo.gs/agents.)
What it needs
- Cloudflare plan
- Cloudflare free plan
- Works on
- Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Pages
- Version
- 0.6.4 (site layer 0.23.0 or later)
- Price
- $7 USD per site · $21 USD for all your sites
All the details
- Runs on the Cloudflare free plan, in the same D1 database as your other site apps. No third-party script and no outside service: the waitlist is added to your page as it's served, and share buttons are plain links.
- Signups use a form from the shared form engine, so they land in the same inbox and contacts as every form (the Forms app isn't needed). Removing Waitlist leaves the form and every submission in place.
- Optional: email. Confirming signups (double opt-in) and emailing invitations send mail through your site's email setup (Cloudflare Email Service). The Cloudflare free sending only reaches addresses you have verified, so mailing the public needs email set up for sending to anyone; without working email, people are simply added without confirmation and the admin says so.
- A person's place in line is counted when they look at it, which reads the whole list: fine for lists of a few thousand; very large lists will use more of the Cloudflare free daily database reads.
- Sets one small cookie (_wlr, 30 days) that remembers a referral link between pages, only when a visitor arrives through one. Works with Popups and Countdown Timers when installed; install order doesn't matter.
- Cost per visit: a page view with the waitlist is one write the first time a page is seen and none after that; a signup is a few small writes (the entry, the contact and an event). If the Cloudflare free database limit is reached, signups cannot be saved until midnight UTC. Visit sources are counted by core: page views are added up in memory and saved in a few small writes about every 20 seconds, within the daily write budget; at the Cloudflare free limits counting pauses and the site is unaffected.

What's new
Waitlist 0.6.4 · Nov 7, 2026
- People and Stats open on the waitlist with the latest signup, instead of a newer list that has no one on it yet.
Show full history
Waitlist 0.6.3 · Nov 6, 2026
- Marked as beta: it works, but things may still break. The admin shows where to report a problem.
Waitlist 0.6.2 · Nov 6, 2026
- With no waitlist set up, the self-test now says "No waitlist yet" as an information note instead of showing passing checks.
Waitlist 0.6.1 · Nov 5, 2026
- Small wording updates in the admin and in the instructions for your AI agent. Nothing else changes.
Waitlist 0.6.0 · Nov 4, 2026
- Your AI agent can find one person by email and page through a long line, so removing or confirming someone works on big waitlists too. It can also name a new waitlist and its page in one step.
- The Overview's signups tile reads only the period's signups and the people waiting (it read everyone on every list twice), and deleting a waitlist also corrects the daily totals reports read.
- The top referrers widget is marked as visitor text in the data your AI agent reads, so the agent treats it as data, never as instructions.
Waitlist 0.5.0 · Nov 4, 2026
- Deleting a waitlist with people on it shows how many people and places go (the form and its submissions stay in Forms) and asks you to tick "I understand" and type the waitlist's name. An empty waitlist still asks "Are you sure?".
- Your AI agent can't delete a waitlist with people on it on its own: it must ask you and send the waitlist's name (waitlist_delete).
Waitlist 0.4.3
- A placed waitlist shows its title, and a new description under it, above the form; turn that off with showTitle:false (waitlist_save). An embed tag is unchanged.
- Place a waitlist next to an element: {path, after:"#webflow"}, {path, before:".faq"} or {path, afterHeading:"Webflow"} in placements.
- Saving a waitlist under a name that is taken (or with a bad value) is refused before anything is made, so no stray form is left behind.
- The "Copy link" button no longer uses an inline event handler, so it works under a strict Content-Security-Policy.
- The block follows the site's light and dark accents. Email can go through an existing send_email binding: set SITE_EMAIL_BINDING to its name.
Waitlist 0.4.2 · Nov 2, 2026
- waitlist_people says its text comes from visitors (untrustedText: true plus a note). app_toggle names the live waitlists that stop taking sign-ups.
- Waitlist rate limits count an IPv6 visitor by the whole home or phone network (/64), and the leaderboard-name form refuses very large posts (413).
- Deleting a waitlist now also removes its "joined" activity, so the Overview chart, the where-from reports and this app's tile agree. The form and its submissions stay.
- With no waitlist, the Overview tile links to creating one. Times use one format.
Waitlist 0.4.1 · Nov 1, 2026
- A join sent without the form's hidden token, or from another website, goes to Spam and is not given a place in line (this comes with the form engine in core 0.17.1; older core keeps working as before). A person's status page opened inside your own page now asks browsers not to send its private address as a Referer.
- AI agents: waitlist_toggle takes on:true or on:false (safe to retry); waitlist_save's dry run returns the complete waitlist and the same warnings; a duplicate name names the existing waitlist's id.
Waitlist 0.3.1 · Nov 1, 2026
- waitlist_toggle and waitlist_delete accept a waitlist's name as well as its id, like waitlist_get. waitlist_save takes dry_run, which runs the same checks as a real save.
Waitlist 0.3.0 · Nov 1, 2026
- Reports to analytics: every waitlist signup is saved with where the visitor came from, and each waitlist shows a "Where from" card.
Waitlist 0.2.3 · Oct 31, 2026
- Phone admin: waitlists and people are compact list rows; a waitlist's open/closed state is a small dot after its name, with Settings and Pause in a "⋯" menu.
Waitlist 0.2.2 · Oct 31, 2026
- Admin pages work like a phone app: a menu drawer instead of a tab strip, 44px tap targets, fields that bring up the right keyboard, save buttons that stay in reach on long forms, and no sideways scrolling at any phone or tablet width.
Waitlist 0.2.1 · Oct 31, 2026
- Agents: waitlist_save states what an edit keeps; self-test fixes name the tool to use.
Waitlist 0.2.0 · Oct 30, 2026
- Your AI agent can manage this app through the admin's MCP connection (Settings, Connect an agent), signed in with Cloudflare Access like you. Deletes ask for a second confirmation; personal data is left out unless asked for.
- Cookie consent: the referral cookie is set only if the visitor allows marketing cookies (when the site asks for consent). Without Cookie Consent installed nothing changes.
Waitlist 0.1.1 · Oct 30, 2026
- States its cost per visit (requests and database writes) before you install, and can be turned off in an emergency from Settings, Apps.
Waitlist 0.1.0 · Oct 30, 2026
- First release: a viral waitlist on your own forms. People see their place in line and a personal link; every friend who joins with it moves them up. Share buttons for X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and email, a private status page, an optional leaderboard (initials only) and optional email confirmation.
- Protected against cheating: no referring yourself (same email, browser or network), no double counting of an email, credit only for real signups that passed spam checks, and a daily cap per person. Every rule is explained in the admin.
- Invite people in order when you're ready: "Invite next N" marks them invited and can email them, but only when you press the button.
- Works with the rest of your site: signups land in the Forms inbox and contacts, a Popups popup can use the waitlist form, a Countdown Timers timer can show "launches in", and other apps hear about each signup without any personal details.
Questions
Do I need to write code?
No. Your AI coding agent installs it into your site's project and deploys it with your own Cloudflare account. You approve the changes.
Does it send my site's data anywhere?
No. It runs in your own Cloudflare account. The store never sees your visitors, your form entries or your settings.
What happens after 12 months?
The version you have keeps working. Renew for about half the price if you want 12 more months of updates.
Can I use it on client sites?
Yes, with a site license per client site. The all-sites license covers the sites you own or run yourself.
What does it need from Cloudflare?
Cloudflare free plan, on Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Pages.
